Room for Alexis

I hope Alexis' momma has enough room to carry all her neccesities
in this large diaper tote.

What's better for a girl than purples & greens ?? A pretty good combinations of colors
I would say. My dear friend trusted me to pick a fabric and I am hoping that
she loves it! This is another one of my large diaper totes. Everytime I make one
I sit back & look at the finished project and think about how ginormous
it looks. An over-sized diaper bag indeed!! Those are the best bags to carry
all the things that come along with baby.

Itty Bitty Bella Dress

This dress was so much fun to make & pretty easy too! It is a onesie dress. That's right....the dress is sewn right to a onesie. There's no need for a diaper cover with the snaps built right in, plus it helps keep the dress down so it doesn't ride up the babies back.

I absolutely love "Stonehill's" collection of fabrics. Big bold prints and colors are perfect for spring. I am using this same fabric to make a skirt for myself. Some days it's so much fun to be a girl. Especially when a momma gets to match her little baby girl.

Diaper Tote

Here is my first diaper bag. After having two babies in diapers I thought I need to design a pretty good size bag. This measures about 21"w x 15"H. There are 6 pockets inside plus 1 zipper pocket.

I love those custom diaper bags that have your childs name embroidered on the front, but I haven't got one of those fancy embroidery machines. Sooo..I started thinking of ways I could stitch a name on the front that looked cute and not tacky. I came accross a tutorial for quilted letters. Then a light bulb came on and I thought how cute it would be to stitch those letters on the front of a diaper bag! I free-hand the letters on paper, cut them out, pin them to the fabric, cut out the fabric, quilt them, wash them to get a weathered edge, and then hand stitch each letter to the front panel. I love the turn out and the look of the letters, but I can't wait until I can afford to buy an embroidery machine!!! I am selling the diaper tote's with custom name for $45.oo. Want one, need one??? Let me know!

Tag...You're It!

I thought that it was time I tagged my stuff with something cute! I wanted my little business name to show and it gives things a more official feel, well, for me anyway. Afterall I have TONS of decorative cardstock laying around from my scrapbook days. In my closet was an alphabet stamp set and colorful ink pads calling my name. Hope you guys like!

It's a Piece of Cake!

Jessie, of Create-A-Cake By Jessica Burgess, asked me to make a large tote to carry her cake binder. So to the fabric store I went in search for cake material. There were so many cute cup-cake patterns to choose from but only one cake pattern. So I decided to do a reversible bag with the cakes on the outside, add some pleats, and use the cupcakes as the lining. It was a lot of fun to make, but made me hungry!!
